Today is Juneteenth, a day to celebrate freedom, honor Black history, and recognize the countless contributions Black communities have made (and continue to make!) to our city and beyond. Whether you're attending an event, supporting a Black-owned business, learning something new, or simply taking time to reflect, there are plenty of ways to spend the day with community.
Music has always been at the heart of culture and community. Here's one event to add to your calendar...
Ziggy Marley is bringing the Brightside Tour to Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery on 7/1, and we're giving away a pair of tickets! Enter now for a chance to win!
BLACK-OWNED BUSINESSES IN SEATTLE
As we celebrate Juneteenth, one of the most meaningful ways to support equity and opportunity year-round is by investing in Black-owned businesses. Check out our list of Black-owned restaurants, bakeries, shops, and community spaces across Seattle. Explore the list, spend with intention, and support the people who help shape the culture, creativity, and character of our city every day. ✊🏾🖤❤️💚
