We can’t save you from Monday…but we can get you into The Fray for free. Let them show you “How to Save a Life” (and maybe your week) when they hit Seattle next week.
Corny? Absolutely. Still entering? Obviously.

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • ICYMI: Kaytranada and Justice are teaming up for a tour. No, you’re not dreaming. They hit Climate Pledge Arena on 10/17 and tickets are somehow still on sale.

  • We’re giving away GA+ passes to Bumbershoot – Seattle’s weirdest, most wonderful arts + music fest – plus a hotel stay to crash in style. Weezer’s playing. That should settle it.*

  • You better start tip-toeing in your Jordans. Riff Raff’s bringing his neon chaos to Wild Buffalo on 9/11.

  • By popular (and petty) demand: Hasan Minhaj & Ronny Chieng added a third night of Hasan Hates Ronny | Ronny Hates Hasan at The 5th Ave Theatre on 10/4. Tickets drop Tuesday at 10am.

  • Plus just announced: Home Free, Habstrakt, Paramore vs. No Doubt Night, and more.

ARTISTS AT THE CENTER

We enjoyed the thunderous drumming Dekoboko Taiko at the Artist at the Center series on Sunday (watch the video here) at the Seattle Center.

The performance featured a wide range of Japanese drumming styles and a repertoire ranging from traditional music to original pieces.

Make sure not to miss out on the upcoming Artists at the Center Series:

  • 9/17 – ALICE GOSTI | MALACARNE

  • 9/20 – DAYSOUL EXQUISITE

  • 9/21 – IHAW IHAW JAM BAND

THIS WEEK

THUR 8/14 • One More Time

FRI 8/15 • Tropidelic, Shwayze, & Jarv

SAT 8/16 • Rocco

SAT 8/16 • Gimme Gimme Disco

TUES 8/19 • Babe Rainbow & The Groovy Nobody

SAT 8/23 • Battle of the Bands: Nite Wave vs. The Underhills

LOCALS ONLY

  • Katie Wilson’s sitting at 50.1% in the primary, with Bruce Harrell at 41.7% and about 96k votes still to count. This race just got very interesting.

  • Did you catch that sturgeon moon over Seattle this weekend? Big, bright, and basically the Pike Place halibut of the sky. Check out the Seattle Times article for why it’s called that and what makes it a supermoon.

  • Umoja Fest took over the Central District this weekend with parades, music, HBCU fashion, and plenty of good food. It was all about community, and yes – the smiles were nonstop.

BRB, digging up more weird and wonderful stuff for tomorrow’s tea.
