Daily Email - Thursday - 4/23/2026

This morning I went to Volunteer Park Cafe for a breakfast sandwich (add bacon, of course). That set me on a path to success for the rest of the morning! Now I just need to find something good for dinner to keep that momentum going. 🤔 Enough about me, here’s something to set you on your path to success:

Modest Mouse, the Issaquah-born band, just announced two nights at The 5th Avenue Theatre on 7/10 and 7/11. Enter for a chance to win tickets to the 7/10 show and catch a set packed with songs that still hit in all the right ways.*

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • Little Shop of Horrors hits The 5th Avenue Theatre on 8/18, with original star Ellen Greene in the building. Try your luck for a pair of tickets and catch this cult classic in a way you don’t usually get.*

  • Enter for a chance to win a pair of tickets to see Jim Gaffigan at Paramount Theatre on 10/2. A Grammy-nominated comic known for his take on food, family, and everyday life that somehow always lands.*

  •  Jesus Christ Superstar runs at The 5th Avenue Theatre from 5/2 to 5/17. A legendary rock opera that dives into the final days of Jesus through Judas. Enter for a chance to win tickets to the 5/2 show.*

  • Northwest Event Show takes over the Seattle Convention Center from 4/28 to 4/30. It’s where the people behind big events connect, plan, and make deals. Enter for a chance to win tickets to the trade show.*

  • Plus other just announced shows from Karol G, Beck, and more!

PAIRING PERFECTION: NW CIDER MEETS SEATTLE RESTAURANT WEEK

Gather around great food this Seattle Restaurant Week, April 19 – May 2, and raise a glass to the season’s bounty with a local cider! Washington apples are famous for good reason, and that means we have some of the best cider around. Check out the guide to pairing PNW ciders with your meal this SRW, at places like Cafe Lolo, Barrel & Bacon, and more.*

LOCALS ONLY

  • The city approved a partial removal of the iconic Gas Works park towers. Read more about it here.

  • Looking for an entry-level gig? Northwest Folk Life is hiring interns!
