Hey Seattle! I hope you enjoyed the 3-day weekend! I had a great time unplugging in Winthrop, other than getting stuck in some insane traffic on the way home yesterday. Long story short, Google Maps has lost my allegiance, and I’m now a Waze girlie.
I also went to my first rodeo, and wow, what a scene! Bulls are actually way scarier in person, just FYI. Safe to say I’m still riding the adrenaline from the weekend and have just the giveaway to get you there with me:
The Seattle Tattoo Expo returns from 8/14 to 8/16 with hundreds of tattoo artists, tattoo contests, burlesque, and enough stunning artwork to inspire at least one impulsive decision. We’re giving away a pair of tickets to the weekend-long celebration at Seattle Center Exhibition Hall.*
JUST ANNOUNCED
Satin Jackets brings glossy disco grooves and sunset-ready house music to Nectar Lounge for a night built entirely around good vibes and expensive-sounding synths. Manatee Commune and Justin Hartinger join the lineup for an extremely smooth evening of dance-floor escapism.
A Spafford show rarely stays on the rails for very long. The jam-band favorites hit Hidden Hall for two nights on 9/17 and 9/18 with extended solos, surprise detours, and enough groove-heavy improvisation to fully scramble your internal clock in the best way.
Boston Manor brings its emotionally wrecked alt-rock anthems to The Showbox on 11/25 alongside Ben Quad and Super Sometimes. The Blackpool band has spent years perfecting massive choruses for people who love screaming their feelings in crowded rooms.
Years of shared history and melodic muscle power, Planets in the Ocean, the Seattle trio, is celebrating its new vinyl release on 6/6 at Conor Byrne Pub. STAG and The Rallies join the bill, and we’re giving away a pair of tickets for the loud local affair.*
Sooo many shows have been announced this month! See them all here!
SEASONAL FARMERS MARKETS ARE BACK! 🍓

As you may know, I love a good farmers market. Seasonal markets are popping back up around the city, and I’m here to remind you to buy local produce! Many have started up this month, like the Columbia City Farmers Market, and others are beginning the first week of June (next week!), like the Tuesday evening Capitol Hill markets. Eat your fresh fruit and veggies while you can!
