Okaaaay, guys, last night I went to a preview of Goodmart in Ballard, the new restaurant by the team at Local Tide in Fremont, and WOW. The space is beautiful, the menu is beautiful, and I can’t wait for you all to check it out.

We had the scallops (my favorite), cod, and spicy tuna, and it was all so delicious. Each main also comes with a simple salad with a miso dressing that I could eat by the spoonful. And don’t skip the avocado soft serve! It’s unimaginably creamy with the faintest bit of avo flavor.

Their soft opening is tomorrow thru Sunday… definitely check it out!!

• I have some sad news for the Capitol Hill residents… Rione XIII, Rubinstein Bagels, and Bar Vacilando have unexpectedly closed after some issues with the building. Here’s to hoping that we'll have some resolutions soon to these spots and the other vacant storefronts on 15th.

• I have more awesome friends doing awesome food things! Do you remember Blotto’s pizza on Capitol Hill? Well, they’re back! The owners behind the spot moved to Bellingham, opened Starla’s in 2024, and are now back in Seattle doing pizza pop-ups at Slab in Capitol Hill. Their next one is 9/26!
